Solar Panels seem like a solid investment, but would it help the environment?

Yes! FPL Electric produces about 2 Pounds of CO2 along with every kWh produced; our solar systems don’t produce ANY emissions to generate electricity.
That means that a customer who spends $120 per month with FPL produces about 2,000 Pounds of CO2 EVERY MONTH! That’s literally a TON of carbon, which you can prevent from being generated each month by producing your own electricity from sunlight.
In order to offset that much carbon by planting trees, you’d have to plant FOUR new trees each and every month of your life, and protect those trees for the rest of their lives.
